Coach Ragland and I both got into coaching as a way to spend more time with our sons, and our love for the game has flourished. Having been a football fan for as long as I can remember and spending many of my younger years on the gridiron, I always knew that coaching was what I wanted to do with my life. I not only love the X’s and O’s of the game but also the little things: the smell of the grass, the crack of the pads, the feeling of accomplishment when a child achieves success. It’s no secret that coaching is in the blood and once you get bitten by the coaching bug it’s hard to resist. It is for this reason that Coach Ragland and I have decided to continue our youth football coaching “careers” despite the fact that our sons are one step closer to high school and will no longer be a part of our teams. I can assure you, however, that EZPLAYZ is going to be an integral part of our team and I am excited for the opportunity to introduce it to our players, staff and parents when we take the practice field in July!
